In the 2020 Gartner Wired and Wireless Magic Quadrant, we are pleased to say that for the 15th year in a row – Aruba is positioned in the Leaders Quadrant and furthest in vision! A complimentary copy of the full report is available here.
After 15 years in the Magic Quadrant, Aruba is as fresh and relevant to the LAN Access market as they were when they revolutionized the market back in 2002. Aruba believes they keep their competitive edge because of two things: customer focus and spirit of innovation.
Aruba’s Vice President for portfolio marketing, Sylvia Hooks, stated that “Our customers (all half a million of them) engage with us, they push us, they educate us and each other and most importantly, they trust us to be the partner they need to support their businesses.”
Gartner highlighted this customer perspective in a commentary about Aruba’s 100,000+ Airheads user community and Atmosphere conference. Aruba’s internal rallying motto is “Customer First, Customer Last,” and you will see it written on the walls of their offices – and lately, on the Zoom backgrounds of their conference calls. You will see it in their equipment donations during the early days of the pandemic, their volunteer corps, and in the heartfelt fanboy videos.
Vendors will come and go, just like products and technologies. Early-stage entrants will be dazzled by new-found recognition and claim some sort of superiority as a result. But it’s Aruba’s commitment to customers and tireless innovation that propelled them through 15+ years of market trends to end up as Leaders. Again.
