MEC officially launched its partnership with Eaton-Huyu yesterday, March 16, 2022. The program was successfully held virtually and was witnessed by numerous partners and organizations across the Philippines.
This significant partnership was founded on the purpose of providing better electrical solutions to improve the quality of living in our country.
Today’s power demands are on the rise as modern devices and appliances abound. When old, existing electrical systems are no longer up to the task, they would instead heighten the possibility of electrical fires, causing catastrophic harm. This scenario highlights the need for safer ways to prevent overload, short circuits, and other potential issues.
Launching an Exciting Future with Eaton-Huyu
MEC’s Vice President for Business Development, Mr. Larry Cunanan, formally started the program and welcomed all the attendees. The quality and reliability of the Eaton-Huyu brand cemented MEC’s decision to be the official distributor of their products.
Mr. Jimmy Yam, Eaton East Asia’s Vice President, also gave his welcoming remarks and highlighted how Huyu brings together the best of Eaton and Huanyu’s expertise.

To aid the audience in knowing more about this latest addition to the technology portfolio of MEC, Mr. Felix Yin, the Regional Product Manager – Power Distribution Division from Eaton East Asia presented a brief background on Huanyu High-Tech Co., Ltd. – the joint venture of Huanyu Group and Eaton. He also gave a rundown on the products currently available in the Philippines. He mentioned that electrical safety and power efficiency were prioritized in designing and developing these products.

MEC’s Mr. George Gavanes, the Product Manager for Electrical, kickstarted the product demo and was joined by Channel Account Specialists Mr. Ronald Pineda and Mr. Gerald Caballero. They gave a close-up look into the features of Eaton-Huyu’s products.
