The Datacom certification is an upgraded version of the Routing & Switching certification, which will replace the Routing & Switching certification as Huawei’s standard for building datacom talent capabilities. The Routing & Switching certification will continue until the end of 2021.
Engineers who need to master basic datacom knowledge and capabilities and have capabilities in small- and medium-sized network planning and design, deployment implementation, and O&M optimization.
Passing the HCIA-Datacom V1.0 certification will indicate that you are capable of planning, design, deployment, O&M, and optimization of small- and medium-sized campus networks.
HCIA-Datacom V1.0 includes the following contents: Routing and switching principles, basic WLAN principles, basic knowledge of network security, basic knowledge of network management and O&M, and basic knowledge of SDN and programming automation.

A new standard called 802.11ax was published in early 2018 and was recently renamed Wi-Fi 6 by the Wi-Fi Alliance.
One of its main focuses is to enhance the efficiency of how access points handle devices simultaneously. It’s no longer about comparing Wi-Fi speeds; it’s more about the capacity of the network to provide the optimal throughput for all clients.
